This curator and arts administrator put together a stellar show of pioneer painter Chen Wen Hsi's art at the beginning of the year, and has been recently promoted from assistant director of collections to his current post.
This means that the former lawyer will have a bigger role in the running of the museum, and have a hand in exhibition schedules and curatorial directions. Artists, take note.
After graduating with a law degree from the National University of Singapore in 1995, he worked as a litigation lawyer for two years. After that, he went to London to further his studies - in art, not in law. He graduated with a masters in History of Art from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, in 1999 and has not looked back since.
